November Presentations
I want to thank students and community folks that came out Nov. 27th and 28th to CSU Fullerton and CSULA, to Professors Alvarez, Espinoza and Oliva for bringing me to their classes and for the incredible panel on Latina Feminisms. Also a huge thank you to Latin American Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies, Chicano Studies and Mujeres Activas en Letras y Cambio Social de CSULA for sponsoring my trip.
Still thinking about all your thought provoking questions about identity, feminisms/womanisms, writing & poetic craft, immigration struggles before and after the internet, women of color poetic lineages, moments of empowerment, loss, documenting the silences, central american identity, gang injunctions, racial profiling, and what I love/dislike about LA vs. the Bay, … so much good stuff I am taking with me. Thank you for creating that space so I could share my words and work.
Nothing like an audience that laughs, sighs and responds to the work you care so deeply about.
