Francisco Goldman’s first novel, The Long Night of White Chickens, won the 1993 Sun Kaufman Prize for First Fiction and was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award, and his second, The Ordinary Seaman (1997), was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award and The Los Angeles Times Book Prize. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, Harper’s, and The New York Times.

A series of contemporary fiction and poetry readings organized by Benjamin Weissman, author of two books of shorts fiction, most recently Headless, and professor of creative writing at Art Center College of Design and Otis College of Art and Design.
