Community and Masculinity in “La Mission”- Directed by Peter Bratt

April 25, 2009

I had fun at the opening night of the San Francisco International Film Festival last night. I may have embarrassed my friends acting like a paparazzi at the after party…

What a stunning film. I am proud to know people who worked on it and proud to see the community all up in it! This movie made me cry a little because of how awesome it was and how it painted our querido Mission. It also made me bust out laughing at all the funny details and lines that made this a very unique movie. I mean, I have critiques for another day and need to see the movie again but I’m just too happy that such a beautiful movie was made.

Here are some videos of the cast and crew speaking ever so elegantly about love, the journey and staying brown. Enjoy and hope this movie gets distribution soon.
